CASTRO VALLEY PLANNING PROCESS RESTARTS!

Following a series of public meetings and hearings, in 2007 the Board of Supervisors adjusted the boundaries of the Castro Valley Planning Area to include three neighborhoods on the east side of Foothill Boulevard that had been moved to the Ashland area when the Eden Planning process was launched in 2002. The three areas are:

• El Portal Ridge
• Fairmont Campus; and
• Hillcrest Knolls

This change will require revisions to the January 2007 Draft Castro Valley General Plan. Watch this website for information about upcoming community meetings and hearings.
